Ahem, I am supposed to be studying right now and this post is just a way to organize my thoughts before I start :)
Check out this article from Pagalguy.com. According to the author (from Manhattan GMAT), scoring higher on the verbal section gets you a higher overall score.
So I have decided to change my strategy of going for 100% in my quant to 100% in verbal :) Of course, I have attended and completed (please note, not STUDIED) my undergrad in Math - hopefully some of what i heard in class in the dark agaes will belp with the quant....

Hello World and a warning to people on Prozac
Everyone is sick and tired of me, my parents, my sibling and of course, my friends. I have suddenly woken up and realized that there are less than 4 months to for Round 1 of quite a few MBA schools and I AM YET TO WRITE MY GMAT. And all i do is keep broadcasting the above information to everyone... And so they all hate me and want me to vent at someone else.
This blog will currently be a dumping ground for my angst, self-recrimination, depression...
WARNING: If you are already taking Prozac, think twice about reading for the next few months.
Once i write my GMAT and get my name onto the list of 50 or so people who score 800 (stop rolling your eyes - its doable - i am in the right demographic pool!!! - and of course, all Indians are math and english wizards !!! ), my next task is to read a few books - Montauk, Admissions edge, Harvard essays... Prozacers, do not come in at this time too.
Here's the part where I march through the 30 or more essays - (STOP rolling your eyes - what is wrong with applying to 10 or more schools? Of course, my recommenders shouldn't end up hating me....)
Then the most important part - where I will be waiting to see which school is lucky enough to want me - at this point, I will most probably be on Prozac and will not be updating the blog.
Once all this is done and I get through one of my dream schools, this blog will turn all educational and I will be spouting wisdom from my high perch :) This is the point when people on depressants and trying to get into an MBA are most welcome :)
